Mulch Sale 3/1/18 - 9 a.m.

Sign-up is first-come, first-serve beginning 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 1st , and payment by cash or check is required at the time of signup. The cost is $50 for approximately 8 cubic yards. There is a limit of 5 loads per address. Delivery will be scheduled when the weather and Public Works schedule allows, and loads are delivered to the edge of the road. If a resident requests delivery on his property, he must indicate this when reserving the delivery.

New this year - Cancelled loads are charged a $30.00 fee. This is to discourage residents from buying more loads than they need, and then cancelling when delivery is scheduled.

Leaf Collection Updates

Leaf Collection - List by Street of Pickup

Click on the link above to view a list of streets and their date of final leaf collection pickup. Leaf collection began October 23rd.  Residents had until December 3rd to place new leaf piles by the roadside. Roads are marked in this file when they have received their final run of leaf collection. 

Brevard Rd/US 64 Improvements

NCDOT has finalized the design as a 2-lane road with roundabouts at White Pine Drive, Daniel Drive, Pisgah Drive, and Glasgow Lane, with sidewalks, and bike lanes, with green space between the sidewalk and bike lane. You can view the maps and other documents here.

Street Signs for Sale!

As we replace street signs throughout Town with the new design, we’ve had numerous inquiries about purchasing the old signs, and are making them available for purchase on a first come, first serve availability for $10.00 each. Payment may be made by cash or check at Town Hall. Please note these are used signs, and may be bent and/or worn.

RLNP Phase 3

Rhododendron Lake Nature Park is in the final phase of development and features walking trails, exercise stations and a footbridge. The property is on Lake Drive just off Laurel Park Highway on the former site of Rhododendron Lake, with main visitor parking off of Primrose Lane.
