Departments & ServicesAdministrationIncludes the Town Manager's Office, Town Clerk, Finance Director, Assistant to the Town Manager and an Administrative Assistant. The Manager is the chief administrator and is responsible for implementing Town Council policies and developing the annual budget. The Town Clerk maintains the Town’s records, provides support to the Town Council, and provides information to citizens and the news media. The Finance Director oversees the operations of Town finances, The assistant to the Town Manager serves as the Zoning Administrator and the Administrative Assistant is the primary point of contact for customer service. Responsibilities include budget management, accounting, debt administration, payroll, purchasing, and personnel. Planning & ZoningThe Assistant to the Town Manager serves as the Zoning Administrator, and in this capacity administers code enforcement, zoning, annexation, development plan review, and sign and temporary use permits. PoliceProtect life and property through enforcement and prevention with programs including safety checks, Neighborhood Watch and resident classes. Public WorksResponsible for providing a safe and adequate water supply, the maintenance of Town streets, parks, vehicles/equipment, and buildings. FireThe Town contracts with Valley Hill Fire & Rescue to protect the community during emergencies, and provides education in fire safety. Parks & GreenwaysPublic Works maintains our system of parks. Town AttorneyThe Town Attorney is the legal advisor for the City Council and staff. The Town Attorney does not provide legal services for any outside citizens, groups, or businesses. |
