MEETINGS
TOWN COUNCIL ACTIONS from the April 15, 2008 Regular Meeting. 1. Approved setting a special work session on budget issues and other items as needed for May 6, 2008 at 10:30 a. m. in the Laurel Park Town Hall. 2. Approved the Town Audit Contract with Burleson & Early, P. A. in the amount of $11,500, which covers auditing the general financial statements of the Town for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008. 3. Approved the rescheduling of Council's Agenda Work Sessions to the Thursday prior to the Council's Regular Meeting (which are held the third Tuesday of each month) at 9:30 a. m. in the Laurel Park Town Hall. 4. Approved a proclamation recognizing the 39th Annual Municipal Clerks' Week, which will be observed the week of May 4 - May 10, 2008. 5. Chief Fisher reported the following statistics for the month of March 2008: 7 arrests, 27 citations, 2 accidents, 2 assists to the Fire Department, 24 assists to the County Sheriff, 657 business security checks, and 1,227 residential security checks.
