Weddings
The Town does not provide vendor or service provider recommendations.
- The applicant is reserving the exclusive right to hold an event in a specific area at a specific time. No other event permits will be issued for the same park for the same time. The entire park cannot be closed or blocked off from the general public.
- Events in Town Parks are not reserved until fee is paid in full.
- Reservation fees are non-refundable; however, one change to either the date or time may be made.
- All events are limited to 4 hours.
- No restrooms are available.
- Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted. No glass containers are permitted.
- Cooking or grilling is not allowed in Town parks except in the designated picnic area at Rhododendron Lake Nature Park.
- Music or noise, in a manner as to disturb the peace of others inside or outside the park, is prohibited. This includes horn blowing.
- Fires and flames are prohibited, including flying Chinese lanterns.
- The applicant is responsible for clean-up of the area used prior to leaving.
- No vehicles or horse-drawn carts are permitted past parking areas.
- Tents and arbors shall not exceed 20 feet by 20 feet, and the use must be indicated on this form.
- All parks are open sunrise to sunset. After-hour use may be granted by the Town Manager.
- The applicant must keep a copy of this permit during the event.
- For issues after hours or on weekends, the Police Department may be contacted at 828-697-3025.
- The reservation and payment must be made by the party utilizing the park. No reservations or payment from event companies or other third parties will be accepted.
