Public Works

The Public Works Department maintains streets and rights-of-way, parks, and the Town's public facilities. The Public Works staff is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM at 500 Toms Drive, and can be reached by calling 828-692-7568.

LP Public Works Building 

The Public Works Department provides the following services

  • Coordinates street and right-of-way maintenance
  • Park maintenance and upkeep
  • Maintains traffic signs and street signs
  • Maintains public buildings and grounds
  • Snow and ice removal
  • Brush collection – as scheduled annually
  • Leaf collection - curbside collection is scheduled from late October to late February (bagged leaves and small yard trimming are picked up year-round by clicking the link and completing the form.)
  • Removal of dead animals within the street right-of-way
